Losing the closeness and intimacy you had with people is always a life-changing experience. By life-changing, I’m talking about the realization that dawns upon you that you spent days of your life opening up to this person, that you thought the connections you shared with this person would never fade away. But they do; however, I say it’s life-changing because you always learn something about yourself from every person you interact with. Slowly, these fragments come together, and you can see yourself clearer than you ever could be.
I always stood by the idea that our universe is constantly changing, and in this dynamic universe, things aren’t meant to stagnate. Stars burst into existence and dim into nothingness every day. Such will people move in and out of your life. The biggest lesson I learned is not to lament what was lost but always look forward.
A good friend of mine reminded me that everything passes, and it took me two years to understand what he meant.
